2024-25 విద్యా సంవత్సరములో జరగనున్న నేషనల్ మీన్స్ కమ్ మెరిట్ స్కాలర్షిప్ పరీక్ష (NMMS) కొరకు ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ రాష్ట్రంలో 8 వ తరగతి చదువుచున్న విద్యార్థుల నుండి దరఖాస్తులు ఆహ్వానించబడుచున్నవి. ఈ పరీక్ష వ్రాయుటకు రాష్ట్రంలోని ప్రభుత్వ, జిల్లా పరిషత్, మునిసిపల్, ఎయిడెడ్, మండల పరిషత్ ప్రాధమికోన్నత పాఠశాలలు మరియు వసతి సౌకర్యం లేని ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ ఆదర్శ పాఠశాలలలో 8 వ తరగతి చదువుచూ, కుటుంబ సంవత్సరాదాయం రూ. 3,50,000/- లోపు ఉన్న విద్యార్థులు మాత్రమే అర్హులు. ఈ పరీక్ష 08-12-2024 న జరుగును. పరీక్ష రుసుము ఓ.సీ, బి.సి విద్యార్థులకు రూ.100/- మరియు యస్.సి, యస్.టి విద్యార్థులకు రూ. 50/- దరఖాస్తులను ఆన్ లైను లో 05-08-2024 నుండి స్వీకరించబడును. ఆన్లైన్ లో దరఖాస్తు చేసుకొనుటకు చివరి తేదీ 06-09-2024 మరియు పరీక్ష రుసుము చెల్లించుటకు చివరి తేదీ 10-09-2024. పరీక్ష రుసుమును ఆన్లైన్ అప్లికేషన్ లో ఇవ్వబడిన SBI Collect లింకు ద్వారా మాత్రమే చెల్లించవలెను. పూర్తి వివరముల కొరకు ప్రభుత్వ పరీక్షల సంచాలకుల కార్యాలయపు వెబ్ సైటు www.bse.ap.gov.in నందు లేదా సంబంధిత జిల్లా విద్యాశాఖాధికారి వారి కార్యాలయంలో తెలుసుకొనగలరు అని ప్రభుత్వ పరీక్షల సంచాలకులు తెలియజేసారు.
AP NMMS 2024-2 ELIGIBILITY: A candidate who has/is
(i) Scored at least 55% of marks in case of OC/BC and 50% of marks in case of SC/ST or equivalent grade i.e., B+ for all categories in class VII Examination studied during the year 2023-24.
(ii) Studying in Government, Local Body (ZP/Municipal), Government Aided, AP Model (day scholars only) and MPUP (Running 8th class) schools only.
(iii) Whose parental annual income (both Parents put together) is below Rs.3,50,000/- from all sources for which candidates have to produce latest original Annual Income Certificate issued by the MRO, in case of Private employee and certificate issued by the employer in case of Government employee.
(iv) Candidate has to submit the original caste certificate and also Income certificate (issued by the MRO) to the Headmaster.
AP NMMS 2024-25 FEE:
Examination fee is Rs.100/- for OC and BC students & Rs. 50/- for SC and ST students. The examination fee has to be paid through SBI Collect only (follow user guide available in website www.bse.ap.gov.in).
AP NMMS 2024-25 Due Dates, Schedule:
NMMS SCHEME:
- The Ministry for Human Resource Development, Government of India has launched centrally sponsored National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS). Under this scheme an examination will be conducted and selected candidates will get the scholarship.
- Every year 1,00,000 students will be selected throughout India. Out of which 4087 scholarships are being allotted to Residuary Andhra Pradesh and have been distributed among the districts basing on enrollment in VII & VIII Classes and Child population for each academic year.
- The Director of Government Examinations, Andhra Pradesh, Vijayawada is conducting NMMS examination from August 2008.
- This examination is conducted every year in the month of November for the students who are studying VIII class in Government / Local Body / Municipal / Aided Schools / Model Schools (without Residential Facility).
- The beneficiaries are being selected basing on the merit and as per the reservation norms followed by the state.

PATTERN OF EXAMINATION
| MAT | • 90 Multiple Choice Questions. • 90 Marks & Each question carries one mark. • No negative marking |
| SAT | • 90 Multiple Choice Questions • 90 Marks Covering social science, science and mathematics of class VII & VIII. Each question carries one mark • No negative marking. |
Duration for both MAT and SAT is 180 Minutes
Subject - Marks:
Physics - 12 Chemistry - 11 Biology - 12 Mathematics - 20 History - 10 Geography - 10 Pol. Science - 10 Economics - 5
QUALIFYING PERCENTAGE:
- 1) GEN, BC & PH: 40% (36 MARKS)
- 2) SC & ST: 32% (29 MARKS)
NOTE: The student must Qualify both the tests i.e., Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) with at least 40% marks in aggregate taken together for these two tests.
SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNT:
- 1.The selected student shall receive a sum of Rs. 12,000/- per annum for which the selected student shall have to open a joint Savings Bank Account with their parents in any S.B.I or in any Nationalized Bank which has core banking facility/ESC facility. Accounts other than Savings bank will be rejected at the time of disbursement of Scholarship.
Information can be obtained from the concerned School Head Master/ District Educational Officer. The application forms should be uploaded online in the website "www.bse.ap.gov.in". Before filling the application form, the headmaster should go through the guidelines given in the website www.bseap.org. The information shall be available in www.bseap.org website also.
