The Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test APTET-OCTOBER- 2025 will be conducted by the Department of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh in all Districts of the State through a Computer Based Test (CBT). The main objective to conduct Teacher Eligibility Test is to ensure National Standards and benchmark of Teacher Quality in the recruitment process in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) norms and procedures. One of the essential qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as teacher in any of the school (Both Government and Private) referred to in class (n) section-2 of the RTE Act is that he/she should qualify the Teacher Eligibility Test conducted by the Department of School Education.


Online applications are invited for the Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test- OCTOBER-2025 from the candidates for all those aspiring to be Teachers in State Government, Mandal Parishad, Zilla Parishad, Municipality, P. Model Schools, A.P. Residential Schools, all Welfare Society Schools, Private Aided Schools and Private Un- Aided Schools etc., under the control of Andhra Pradesh State for classes I to VIII. Government of India have enacted RTE Act, 2009 on 26.08.2009 titled “The Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education”. In said Act under Sub-Section (1) of section 23 of the RTE Act, National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), New Delhi has laid down minimum qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a Teacher for Classes I to VIII in its Principal Notification dated 23rd August, 2010 and amendments issued thereon. The minimum qualification includes a pass in Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) pursuant to the said guidelines; it has been decided to conduct Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) in the State of Andhra Pradesh.

 

Those candidates who possess D.EL.Ed. / B.Ed (or) its equivalent qualifications shown in Information Bulletin and candidates pursuing final semester of the said courses with requisite percentage of marks obtained in academic qualifications as given in Information Bulletin of APTET can appear for APTET-OCTOBER-2025. However, the candidates intending to seek employment as a teacher in private unaided schools following Central or State syllabus shall have the option of appearing at CTET conducted by Central Government through CBSE instead of APTET, if they so desire. Those candidates who desire to improve their APTET score shall also apply for APTET- OCTOBER-2025.

 

To bring in utmost transparency and accuracy in the conduct of examinations APTET-OCTOBER-2025 will be conducted through Computer Based Test (CBT) in Paper-1A, Paper-1B, Paper-2A and Paper-2B. The candidate who intends to be teacher for Classes I to V have to appear for Paper-1A and the candidate intends to be teacher for Classes VI to VIII have to appear for paper-2A. The candidate who intends to be teacher for Classes I to V in Special Schools have to appear for the examination under Paper -1B and the candidate who intends to be teacher for Classes from VI to VIII have to appear for paper-2B in respect of Special Schools. The candidates who are having both El.Ed and B.Ed qualifications, intends to be teachers for all Classes from I to VIII are only eligible to appear for all papers, i.e. Paper-1A, Paper-1B, Paper-2A and Paper-2B as per requisite qualifications.

 

APTET Notification 2025 APTET-Applicability:

 

The APTET shall apply to all the schools referred to in Clause (n) of Section 2 of the RTE Act. However, a school referred to in Sub-Clause (iv) of Clause(n) of Section 2 of the RTE Act, may exercise the option of considering either the TET conducted by the Central Government or the APTET. Teachers working in Private Schools whose appointments were not approved by the competent authority are not exempted from passing TET. Such teachers of Private Unaided Schools shall appear for TET conducted by either the State Government or Central Government. In respect of non-approved teachers working in Private Aided Schools, they shall invariably appear for TET conducted by the State Government only.

 

TET for in-service Teachers:

 

As per the judgment of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in Civil Appeal No. 1385/2025, in-service teachers who were recruited prior to the enactment of the RTE Act, and having more than five years service to retire on superannuation, must qualify the TET. The existing Secondary Grade Teachers (SGTs) and School Assistants (SAs) who do not have a TET qualification may appear for Paper 1A/1B and 2A/2B, in their concerned subject. (Eligibility criteria for appearing APTET as detailed at Rule-5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 in G.O.Ms.No:36, School Education (Services-I) Department, Dt:23-10-2025, is exempted for all in-service teachers serving in all Government and Private Aided Institutions).

 

APTET Notification 2025 TET for Languages and Social Studies candidates:

 

Before 2017, there was a common paper for SA (Languages) and SA (Social Studies). From the 2017 TET onwards, separate examinations have been conducted for Languages and Social Studies subjects. Hence, candidates who qualified in the combined TET previously may appear for separate paper and qualify in the concerned paper only.

 

APTET Notification 2025 Examination Fee:

 

The fee towards submission of application online and for the conduct of Computer Based Examination is Rs.1000/- for each Paper-1A, Paper-1B, Paper-2A and Paper-2B separately. Candidates shall pay the fee through payment Gateway from 24.10.2025 to 23.11.2025 and  submit  online  application  at  the  APTET  official  website http://cse.ap.gov.in from 24.10.2025 to 23.11.2025.

 

Note: If the candidate who is having both D.El.Ed general/special and B.Ed general /special qualifications desires to apply for all papers, he/she has to pay Rs.1000/- for each paper separately.

 

APTET Notification 2025 Procedure for Submission of Online Application:

 

Detailed procedure for applying ONLINE is given in the Information Bulletin. Candidates can download the ‘Information Bulletin’ free of cost from the APTET official website http://cse.ap.gov.in from 24.10.2025 onwards. Candidates can submit their online applications from 24.10.2025 to 23.11.2025. No candidate is allowed for Edit / Modify the application once submitted.

 

Note:-The candidates are instructed to submit the application carefully with full awareness of notification. Any corrections / Modifications will not be considered if candidate need to change or modify he/she has to pay Rs. 1000/- with separate application within the due date.

 

APTET Notification 2025 EXAMINATION CENTERS:

  1. The APTET-OCTOBER-2025 will be conducted through ‘ONLINE’ in in all district headquarters / municipalities / revenue divisions / mandals. Where required, based on number of applicants, particular category of post and subject, centers may be allotted in the adjacent district of neighbouring States.
  2. A window will be opened to the Candidates to opt the Districts indicated in the APTET official website.
  3. However, the allotment of examination centers shall be the discretion of the department and request for change of examination centers or sessions is not allowed under any circumstances.

Note: Candidate should opt in first cum-first serve basis.

 

APTET Notification 2025 Eligibility Criteria:

 

The candidates at the time of applying for APTET-OCTOBER-2025. should possess minimum qualifications prescribed Paper-1A, Paper- 1B for a teacher for I to V classes, and Paper-2A, Paper-2B for a teacher for VI to VIII classes as given in Information Bulletin. The candidates, who are pursuing final semester in any of the teache education courses recognized by the NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education) or the RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India), can also appear for the APTET-OCTOBER-2025.

 

However, it is clarified that appearance or a passing in APTET does not automatically confer the right to participate in or consider for appointment to the post of Teacher in Government / Zilla Parishad / Mandal Parishad / Municipal/AP Model School / Welfare Schools / Society Schools/ Private Un-aided and Private Aided Schools etc., under the control of the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh. The onus lies entirely with the candidate to possess the qualifications prescribed for appointment to such post in the relevant statutory recruitment rules framed by State Government from time to time or by the said management as on the date prescribed therein., and also pass in Teacher Eligibility Test. The details of qualifications prescribed for APTET-OCTOBER-2025 are provided in the  Information Bulletin.

 

Course completion certificates:

  • (a) Candidates must be qualified for the paper applied and in possession of all certificates as on the last date prescribed in the notification for submission of application.
  • (b) The candidates, those who are pursuing/studying final semester of Diploma in Elementary Education (or) D.Ed in Special Education (or) its equivalent, Bachelor of Education (or) B.Ed. in Special Education (or) its equivalent etc., are also eligible to appear for APTET examination subject to the condition that the candidates cannot appear for Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT) with this APTET certificate, unless the candidates acquire requisite qualifications.

Note: Mere qualification in APTET shall not confer any right to appear TRT without prescribed qualifications.

  • A Diploma/ Degree course in Teacher Education recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) only shall be considered. However, in case of Diploma in Education (Special Education) and B.Ed. (Special Education), a course recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) only shall be considered.
  • Intermediate qualification of Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) of Andhra Pradesh State (or) its equivalent as recognized by Board of Intermediate Education (BIE), Andhra Pradesh State only shall be considered. Graduation/Post Graduation of a University Recognized by UGC only shall be considered.

APTET Notification 2025 Syllabus:

  • Syllabus for Paper-1A & 1B and Paper-2A & 2B of APTET-OCTOBER- 2025 can be downloaded from the official website http://cse.ap.gov.in.
  •  The candidate must personally complete all sections of the application form and thoroughly review the information before submission. Candidates have opportunity to make corrections before final submission and fee payment through payment gateway. No option to edit the form will be provided after submission. The candidate will be solely responsible for the accuracy of the information provided.

APTET-OCTOBER-2025 tentative results will be declared after completion of examination. However, the final result will be given after final key as per the schedule. The criteria for considering pass marks in APTET-OCTOBER-2025 is as follows: (Total Marks-150)

Differently abled (Visually, Orthopedically, Hearing Impaired and Autism) candidates with at least 40% of disability shall be considered as disabled except Hearing Impairment. Hearing Impairment means (a) Deaf means person having 70 DB hearing loss in speech frequencies in both ears (b) Hard of Hearing means person having 60 DB to 70 DB hearing loss in speech frequencies in both ears (GO.MS.No:36, Dept. for Woman, Children, Differently Abled & Senior citizens (Prog.ii), Dt: 23-08-2023).

 

Note: The Medical certificate submitted by the candidate for appearing APTET Examination under that particular category will not confer any right to the individual for accepting the same for further Recruitment Test. The onus will lie upon the candidate to produce the certificate validated by the Medical Board at the time of Recruitment.

 

APTET Notification 2025 Validity period of TET Certificate / Marks Memo:


The Marks Memo/Certificate of APTET shall be made available on APTET website only. There is no restriction on the number of attempts and a person can attend any number of times for acquiring APTET Certificate. A person who has qualified APTET may also appear again for improving his/her score. The APTET certificate shall be valid for life time in accordance with NCTE guidelines dated: 09.06.2021 as amended by the Government in G.O.Ms.No.69, School Education (Exams) Dept., Dated: 25.10.2021. The validity of APTET qualifying certificate acquired prior to 09.06.2021 shall also valid for life time as per G.O.Ms.No.69, Dated: 25.10.2021.

 

Note: The APTET certificate shall remain valid for life time unless otherwise modified by future NCTE guidelines.

 

APTET Notification 2025 TET scores for selection of Teacher Recruitment in Andhra Pradesh:


20% weightage will be given to APTET score in the ensuing Teacher Recruitment Test of the State Government. In other words, 20% weightage is for APTET score and 80% weightage for written test in Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT) for drawing up the selection list.

All legal disputes with regard to the conduct of TET shall be subject to the Jurisdiction of the Honourable Courts located in the State of Andhra Pradesh only.

Instructions for the smooth conduction of examinations:

  • Question papers shall be stored securely at the school complex for fit to 5th classes and at MRC for 6 ^ m to 10th classes.
  • The Mandal Education Officers (MEOs) 1 and 2 and School complex headmasters will be the custodians of the preserved papers.
  • Question paper bundles will be handed over to the concerned schools only one hour prior to the commencement of the examination in each session.
  • School complex HM and MEOs must ensure the integrity of the question papers. They, along with Cluster Resource Persons (CRPs), should visit schools during examination hours to verify that the examinations are being conducted smoothly and fairly.
  • In case of any untoward incidents, School complex HMS, MEOs and CRPs should report immediately to higher officials.
  • MEOs and CRPs should focus on monitoring examination conduction procedures in both private and government-managed schools.
  • Syllabus is enclosed to this proceedings.
  • It is proposed to integrate the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) assessments with formative assessments for classes III, IV, and V. The guidelines to conduct the TaRL assessments as a part of FA tool-2 are enclosed as an annexure.

Therefore, all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education, all the District Educational officers, and DCEB secretaries are requested to take necessary action accordingly. Any deviations found in the procedure will be viewed seriously.

As per the reference cited above it is informed that, the Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education, Government of India, New Delhi has stated that submitted that Swatch Evam Haritha Vidyalaya Rating launched on 29th July 2025 by honorable education Minister on the occasion of 5th year celebrations of National education Policy NEP-2020 at Akhila Bharateeya Shiksha Sangam(ABSS) at Bharat Mandapam , New Delhi. It builds on Swatch Bharat Swath Vidyalaya Mission (2014) and Swatch Vidyalay Puraskar (2016- 2017). SHVR is revitalized expanded version of the earlier Swatch Vidyalaya Puraskar (SVR).

 

It is further informed that, to avoid inconvenience to School Heads and teachers, the data of Swatna Andhra - Swachh Andhra shall be updated in the Swachh Evam Haritha Vidyalaya Rating -SHVR web portal or App., immediately. Enter details of all the 6 self assessment parameters SHVR which are equivalent to Swarna Andhra -Swachh Andhra program.

 

All the schools now be rated and recognized based on comprehensive 60 indicator-based survey The Structural parameters of SHVR ate in alignment with the National Educational Policy -NEP-2020 and India's vision for clean, green and inclusive environment. This initiative promotes behavioural transformation environmental sustainability and resilience in school Education through structured institutional frame work. Swatch Evam Harita Vidyalaya Rating ( SHVR ) empowers schools to self-assess and improve across six categories:

  • Water: Availability, access, quality and Rain water Harvesting systems 
  • Toilets: Functional Safe, CWSN- friendly infrastructure
  • Hand washing with soap: adequacy and soap usage and behavioral reinforcement
  • Operation and Maintenance: Waste disposal cleanliness and asset upkeep Behaviour Change and capacity BuildingAwareness Camps , Eco clubs and student engagement
  • Eco clubs for Mission LiFE and aligned Green Initiatives: Plantation, Plastic reduction energy and Water Conservation

Incentives for the best SHVR Schools

  • National level best performed government schools will be given incentives and Rs 1Lah as compost school grant.
  • Three best States and 10 best performing districts will be recognized as schools of Excellence in Wash and Environmentally friendly nature.
  • 200 school heads will be given chance to exposure visit for Experiential Learning.

Methodology of participation in SHVR 2025-2026

  • Through web portal https://shvr.education.gov.in
  • by downloading a mobile app, “Swachh Evam Harit Vidyalaya Rating 2025-26” from Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
  • “Sign Up” by using UDISE+ code of the school.
  • School will need to verify the pre filled information of; school's UDISE+ code, name, State, district, block, village
  • After verification, school will fill up additional basic information of; Address of the school, respondent's name, designation, mobile number, email ID Detailed Primary information form and Survey form are to be filled
  • School can “Login” for SHVR-2025-26 by using “UDISE+ code and the password”

 Hence, all the District Educational Officers as Nodal Officers of SHVR are requested to follow the detailed instructions and form District level Committees for screening SHVR and District Level and nominate to State Level

The Swachh Evam Harit Vidyalaya Rating (SHVR) 2025 is a revamped national initiative by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, aimed at transforming Indian schools into models of cleanliness, hygiene, and environmental sustainability. It builds on the Swachh Bharat Swachh Vidyalaya Mission (2014) and the Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar (2016-17), reflecting the vision of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and aligning with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. SHVR 2025 introduces:

  • A 5-star school rating system
  • Evaluation on WASH (Water health and sanitation) and sustainability parameters including behavioural change
  • Integration of Eco Clubs under Mission LIFE
  • A digital platform for self-assessment, validation, certification and Rating

It seeks to motivate schools to adopt clean, green practices and recognize them at district, state, and national levels — making Indian schools globally recognized for their environmental leadership.

  • To evaluate and recognize schools excelling in hygiene, sanitation, and eco­friendly practices.
  • To build institutional capacities in schools for sustainable development.

      Participation Process

        • All schools must register and complete the SHVR self-assessment on the designated portal or app. (website: https://shvreducation.gov.in/)
        • Schools are to submit evidence-based responses for each indicator.
        • External evaluations will follow for selected schools.
        • Schools will be awarded SHVR ratings (Bronze, Silver, Gold).

        Responsibilities of Schools under SHVR


          Its mandatory for all the schools to participate in SHVR 2025-26 by aligning their operations with the six thematic areas. Schools must engage all stakeholders—head teachers, teachers, students, school management committees (SMCs), and the community—to foster a clean, green, and inclusive learning environment.

          Registration and Participation:
            • All schools must register on the SHVR portal or mobile app.
            • Self-assessment must be completed against the 60 defined indicators across six themes.
            Evidence Submission:
              • Schools are required to upload photographic and documentary evidence for each indicator.
              • Uploads should reflect actual practices and infrastructure on school premises, with geotagged photographs.

              Development of Swachhata Action Plan (SAP):

              • Based on the assessment, schools must prepare a SAP for addressing gaps and improving indicators.
              • Action plans should be time-bound and feasible with participation from staff and students.
              Student and Teacher Engagement:
                • Activate Eco-Clubs for Mission LIFE to support SHVR activities.
                • Conduct regular awareness campaigns, hygiene drives, plantation activities, and conservation efforts.
                Maintenance and Monitoring:
                • Ensure upkeep of school toilets, handwashing stations, and drinking water
                • Institute a routine inspection schedule for cleanliness and safety.
                Inclusivity and Accessibility:
                  • Ensure infrastructure is accessible to Children with Special Needs (CWSN).
                  • Promote gender-sensitive sanitation and hygiene practices.

                  Readiness for Evaluation:

                  • Be prepared for possible external validation and follow-up assessments.
                  • Cooperate with visiting assessors and provide access to facilities and records.

                    • States to submit reports post State-level workshops.
                    • Regular updates to MoE/CIET on school participation and technical issues.

                        • 3-Day Experiential Exposure Trip: Selected school heads will be offered a three-day education experiential visit to premier institutions of our country. This initiative aims to inspire innovative leadership in sustainability, science, and eco-education.
                        Eco-Clubs and Flagship Campaigns: Schools are encouraged to:

                            Designed with an intuitive interface and multi-language support (Hindi and English), the app guides school authorities through a detailed, 60+ parameter self-assessment questionnaire. Each section has clear indicators to ensure accurate reporting and transparency Schools can fill in the data at their convenience, review their responses, and submit them directly through the app. The app also includes features for helpdesk support, offline data entry (with sync when online), and document/photo uploads for verification. Once submitted, the data will undergo verification and cross-validation at the district, state, and national levels, leading to a 5-star rating and recognition system for clean and green schools.                             Ref:

                            In continuation of the instructions issued in the reference read above, all the RJDSES, DEOs, APCs, Dy.E.Os, DIET Principals, MEOs and Sectorial Officers of District Samagra Shiksha in the state are hereby informed that the Cluster Complex training at the complex level will be conducted on 30.08.2025 i.e., on Saturday from 1.00 pm to 5.00 pm for the month of August 2025 without any deviation. 100% attendance in all Cluster complexes shall be ensured.


                            They are further informed that the agenda for Cluster Complex Meeting for the month of August-2025 i.e., 30.08.2025 is appended in Annexure-I (The video links will be shared).

                             

                            The responsibilities of the Cluster Complex Headmaster are detailed below:

                            •  Ensure 100% attendance and engagement of teachers. Ensure the availability of digital infrastructure.
                            •  Ensure a smooth flow of the session as per the schedule communicated.
                            •  Ensure the RPs are designated and pre-informed about the agenda, and notes are shared with them.
                            •  Ensure the teachers attending the complex meeting submit their feedback form before dispersing.
                            •  Ensure the Prior intimation of the Minute to Minute programme to the Participants of the concerned cluster complex.
                            •  They have to submit the monitoring format of the meeting convened in their school complex.
                            •  All Govt., Aided, KGBV, and residential school teachers must attend the Cluster Complex meeting.
                            •  Ensure the mapping of one responsible person from District Samagra to each Cluster.
                            •  Ensure the proper functioning of the IFPs required and internet connectivity at the cluster complex.
                            • Ensure that the content in the links shared by the SCERT are properly displayed.
                            • Ensure proper accommodation, seating arrangement for the teachers, water, and sanitation facilities.
                            • Ensure the Identification of 7 Subject-wise School Assistants and two senior SGTs as the facilitators, one for the teachers handling classes 1 and 2, and one for teachers handling 3 to 5 classes of the cluster complex.
                            • The cluster complex first assistant shall assist the cluster complex HM in monitoring the SGTs.
                            • By 11.45 am Mid-Day Meal should be closed on the day of the cluster complex meeting (Saturday,19th July,2025), and all the teachers have to reach the concerned cluster complex venue by 1 pm sharp.
                            • Ensure the Facial recognition (Attendance) of the total teachers of the concerned complex is marked at 1 pm and 5 pm.
                            • Ensure the Prior intimation to parents regarding the half-day school (9 am to 12 pm) on Saturday, 19th July, 2025, due to the cluster complex meetings, keeping in view the safety of the children.

                            Don’ts in the Complex Trainings:

                            •  No Felicitation activities like transfers, promotions, no meeting with shawls and garland.
                            •  No personal parties, birthday parties, no visits, no sightseeing programmes, Availing of Leaves except for Medical emergencies.
                            •  No discussions on service matters and no personnel discussions.  No Union Meeting Discussions.

                             Monitoring Mechanism:

                            • Monitoring should be done by DEO, DyEO, APC, AD, DIET Principal, DIET Faculty, all Sectorial officers of District Samagra, MEO-1 & 2, MIS coordinators and CRPs of the concerned district. Ensure the mapping of one official from the district  Samagra to each cluster complex.
                            •  Therefore, all the RJDSEs, DEOs, APCs, DyEOs, DIET Principals, MEOs and Sectorial Officers of District Samagra Shiksha, District officers, DIET Principals, MEO-I & II, Cluster Complex Headmasters are requested to monitor the complexes and fill the monitoring format. The Cluster Complex Headmaster shall ensure that the teachers who attend the Cluster Complex Meeting shall submit the feedback form invariably.
                            • Further, all the District Educational Officers are requested to identify one nodal person for each and every cluster complex for the smooth functioning.
                            • Any laxity in the matter will be viewed seriously, and these instructions shall be followed scrupulously.
                            • Receipt of these proceedings shall be acknowledged.
